Business Development Manager – Full-time position

Network Consulting Group wants to hire a motivated, organized salesperson with 2+ years of experience helping small to medium sized business with networks, IT security, moving infrastructure from premise to the cloud, hosted PBX and virtual desktop.

Founded in 1991, we are a premier provider of business-level IT solutions and consulting services located in Tustin, CA. We are a close-knit team with an average tenure of 10 years.  Our working environment is business casual and we expect professionalism and self-motivation from all of our employees. The right person will be friendly, knowledgeable, and proactive.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience selling IT services to small and medium sized business
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, listening skills.
  • Highly adaptable to changes in business direction, services, and needs
  • Successful track record of sales and relationship management
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Organization and time management skills; self-motivation is crucial.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity; good judgment.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Computer skills (including Word, Excel, SalesForce).

Telecommunications Coordinator

Job Purpose/Summary:
Under general supervision, manages all incoming client accounts, provides support to the sales team, tracks all data of products ordered in company’s software system and performs all related administrative tasks and other miscellaneous functions as assigned.

Examples of Essential Functions:

  • Tracks and maintains all assigned client accounts and files, including related contracts, Scope of Work documents, Business Service Applications and email correspondence.
  • Oversees product(s) ordered from submission to installation and assumes accountability of all client accounts.
  • Verifies all client information prior to order submission to Network Carrier.
  • Places phone orders with Network Carriers and/or Third Party Vendors or Consultants to meet requested installation dates.
  • Coordinates correspondence and conference calls with client, phone vendor and appropriate Network Carrier to ensure installation completes in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and customizes Confirmations of Service based on the product(s) ordered by the client.
  • Answers client questions regarding basic process and procedures and addresses any Carrier discrepancies that prevent an order from proceeding to the next step.
  • Conducts bill reviews to examine accuracy of products purchased and investigates billing claims if an error is found.
  • Acts as single point contact for Network Carriers in order to address all issues on behalf of client.
  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Experience/Training/Education:

Required: Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 or more years of project management experience, sales support, customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Desirable: Some background in telecommunications, use of telecommunication systems, word-processing, database and spreadsheet software applications.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires knowledge of office practices, word processing and data base and spreadsheet software application programs, business etiquette with correspondence and English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation; principles of client relations and communications live and via email correspondence; records management, organization and file maintenance.

Use of standard office equipment including telephones, headsets, copiers, scanners, fax machines; use of personal computer, use of internet, type at net rate of 50 words per minute using a computer keyboard.

Ability to handle complex projects involving consistent follow up; ability to multi task, organize software file documents, relay technical details; understand and follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively and work cooperatively with customers, internal staff members, vendors and public and private representatives; prioritize, organize and complete tasks independently; ability to assess, verify, compose, edit and update correspondence quickly and accurately; independently prepare confirmations of service and customize specific reports for client products; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; understand and adhere to time lines, guidelines and deadlines; work efficiently; track and log specific details on client accounts accurately; oversee scope of work and identify key milestones; identify discrepancies and errors on customer orders; escalate if necessary; gauge and keep a steady workload; to be team player and assist others when in need; explain complex processes to outside vendors and customers; maintain composure in stressful situations; be proactive vs. reactive; maintain a can-do attitude; distinguish differences with products and features as to recommend the best fit for the client; keep customers satisfied and happy.
